Civil Engineering Building New Building/Electrical Improvements

Atwell & Gent provided full planning, design, procurement, and construction administration services required to convert approximately 0.5 miles of existing overhead 13 kV feeder circuit to underground on Hardy Street at Mississippi State University. Our firm was responsible for the review of vendor submittals and drawings and incorporation of final vendor drawings into the final construction package. Atwell & Gent was responsible for the construction administration of the project, including project coordination and scheduling, field inspections and final acceptance.

Project Details:

• Construction of a new underground 13 kV feeder circuit, installation of one new SF6 insulated 13 kV switchgear unit, and demolition of the existing overhead 13 kV feeder circuit.
• Designer services included site surveys and mapping, planning, permitting, physical and electrical design, phasing and final connections.
